Delivery-Only Catering in Wilmington, NC: Perfect for Corporate Events & Office Lunches
When You Want Great Food Without the Logistics
Not every event needs servers in black tie. Sometimes you need great food that shows up, looks beautiful, and gets out of the way so your team can focus on the meeting or your guests can focus on each other.
That's delivery-only catering.
Most catering companies treat drop-off service like an afterthought — a budget option for people who "just need something to eat." At Castle Gardens ILM, delivery catering is a full service with the same attention to quality, presentation, and detail as our full-service events.
The difference? You handle the serving. We handle the food being excellent.
When Delivery-Only Catering Makes Sense
Corporate meetings and team lunches: Your sales team is gathering for a quarterly meeting. Your marketing department is doing a brainstorm. Your leadership team is bringing in the department heads for a strategy session. These events need food that's good enough to matter, but not so formal that it becomes the focus.
Office parties and celebrations: Birthday celebrations. Promotion announcements. Holiday parties. Project completions. These are moments your team should enjoy together — but they don't need the formality of servers watching them eat.
Conference room lunches: Your office has conference room capacity for 30. You need lunch for a working session. You need it good, you need it presentable, and you need it to arrive on time.
Professional gatherings: Board meetings. Client presentations. Investment meetings. Advisory gatherings. These are moments where the food reflects your professionalism without requiring you to hire event staff.
Home gatherings that feel professional: Some of your best friends are your colleagues. Some of your milestone celebrations include work people. Delivery catering lets you host beautifully without the price tag of full-service.
If any of this describes your situation, delivery catering is your answer.
The Delivery-Only Menu Advantage
Castle Gardens ILM offers several menus perfectly suited for delivery:
Gather & Graze ($2,500 for 50 guests): This is the most popular delivery option. It's abundant without being overwhelming. You get a vibrant grazing board overflowing with artisanal cheeses, fresh fruits, crisp vegetables, mini sandwiches (chicken, cheese, and turkey), turkey and ham wraps, turkey pinwheels, tuna pasta, crab salad, fresh fruit, vegetables, and dips. Plus a 24-inch charcuterie board and mini dessert bar.
Choose one protein (chicken or meatballs) and one dip (queso, beef, or spinach). Everything arrives ready to serve — no plating, no prep.
Delivery-Only Package ($2,500 for 25 guests): The base delivery service, perfectly plated and ready to serve. Includes cutlery, serving utensils, dessert, and a 24-inch charcuterie board. You can customize the menu (Mediterranean, Italian, Southern, Caribbean, or Seafood) — the difference is just that you're serving it yourselves.
What makes delivery catering work: The food arrives beautiful. It's portioned correctly. It includes all the serving pieces you need. Your guests feel taken care of, and you feel like you hosted something special — without the stress of coordination.
What Delivery-Only Actually Includes
This is important because some catering companies skimp on delivery options.
At Castle Gardens ILM, delivery includes:
Professional food preparation — everything is made fresh that day
Beautiful presentation — platters and boards are arranged like they matter
Complete serving set — cutlery, serving utensils, napkins, plates, everything you need
On-time delivery — we show up when we say we will
Setup instructions — we tell you exactly how to keep food at the right temperature
The 24-inch charcuterie board — because even delivery events deserve to look special
What's NOT included (and why):
On-site staff — you or your team handles serving
Breakdown — you're responsible for cleanup
This is actually what makes delivery-only affordable. You're eliminating server costs, and you're handling the logistics. That savings gets passed to you.
Delivery-Only Pricing: Real Numbers
Gather & Graze: $2,500 for 50 guests = $50 per person
Delivery-Only with custom menu: $2,500 for 25 guests = $100 per person
Compare that to full-service catering (which starts at $3,000 minimum and includes setup, servers, linens, and breakdown) and you see the difference. Delivery-only cuts the price by eliminating the labor-intensive parts.
You get professional food quality at a professional price point.
How Long Before Your Event Do You Need to Book?

A Note on Quality Even for Delivery
Just because you're not hiring servers doesn't mean the food gets downgraded. Chef Dex personally oversees every catering order — delivery-only or full-service. That means your office lunch tastes like the kind of food people remember.
Your team will notice. Your clients will notice. And it reflects on you.
One More Thing: The Psychology of Good Food
People remember how they felt, and food shapes that feeling. When your team shows up for a meeting and finds beautiful, thoughtfully prepared food waiting, it says something: "We value you. This moment matters. We took care of details so you could focus on what's important."
That's what delivery catering does. It handles the basics beautifully so you can focus on the actual event.
Chef Dex's Note
Some of my favorite catering moments are the delivery-only ones. A corporate team texts me photos from their event saying "this changed our meeting energy." A manager tells me her team felt valued because the food was excellent. Those moments remind me that catering isn't about servers and linens — it's about care. And care translates whether someone is plating it for you or you're plating it yourselves.
